Odds are the legislation still dies in the House, but odds were that it would've died in the Committee, too, so you never know. In any case, this will probably be seen as one of the earliest tangible instance where the netroots transformed themselves into a relevant lobbying force. Whether it's an isolated shot (this is, after all, about the net) or a new role remains to be seen.
