Talk about your unintended consequences:
You may or may not know that I quit my job a few months ago to volunteer for the Red Cross. Instead, I've been playing video games for the past three months. Why? Apparently you need health insurance to help out. Not that I had health insurance when I was working, anyway, but the fact remains that I cannot give up my free time to help those worse off than myself because we, as a nation, are too fucking stupid to realize that everybody should be able to go to the doctor if they get hurt.
Another fine outcome of our insane insurance market.
