Over at Swampland, Time's Karen Tumulty has been repeatedly trying to highlight the "Do-Something Congress," drawing attention to the enormous amount of proactive, constructive, legislative work Congress has been engaging in. It's a fact of the system that an obstinate minority can force the Congress to a halt, rendering it hapless and ineffectual. But whether the public understands that outcome as the work of a determined minority or the incompetence of an inept majority has everything to do with how the press reports the events. So props to Tumulty for trying to get the story out. I'd prefer to see this as a Time cover than a series of Swampland posts, but it's a start.
