John Edwards will be the first of the presidential candidates to join the picket lines at the Writers Guild of America strike. According to an announcement from the WGA, Edwards will be joining striking writers outside NBC Entertainment’s headquarters this afternoon. He has already voiced his support in a statement on the strike last week, as have fellow presidential candidates Barack Obama (whose staffers and volunteers reportedly joined the pickets earlier) and Hillary Clinton.

By the way, don't confuse the presidential candidate with John Edward, who perhaps should be called in to channel a few deceased Hollywood leaders and glean advice on how to solve this crisis.
