The folks at The folks at Faith in Public Life have been on top of the trend among pollsters to ignore Democratic evangelical voters in exit polling this primary season. So in partnership the Center for American Progress Action Fund, they commissioned Zogby to conduct exit polls in Missouri and Tennessee on Super Tuesday that examined trends among all evangelical voters. Their results, released yesterday, found that one in three white evangelical voters in those states participated in the Democratic primaries. The majority of evangelical voters (regardless of which primary they participated in) want an agenda that includes more than abortion and same-sex marriage, and listed jobs and economy as the most important issues for them in deciding who to vote for this year. Other issues at the top of their agenda: ending poverty, protecting the environment, and addressing HIV/AIDS.
