Of all the changes caused by the midterm elections, the loss of Sen. Russ Feingold was surely most serious for advocates of civil liberties. Via Ben Smith, Feingold will teach at Marquette University Law School:
"Senator Feingold joins Marquette Law School with a substantial academic, legal and legislative background," said Joseph D. Kearney, Marquette's dean. "He will draw on all of this in working with students in their analysis of some of the most complex legal issues facing our nation and world today. I look forward to his service on our faculty."
Feingold will teach a course called: "Current Legal Issues: The U.S. Senate," which will be offered to upper-level law students.
I'd take that class. Tim Carney thinks he may run for Senate in Wisconsin again in the future.
