As TMFTL notes, David Edelstein's really using a dodgy tactic when he proves King Kong's racism by noting that a Google search of the terms returns over 400,000 hits. "King Kong gay" returns over 2 million hits, apparently making the movie much more homoerotic than discriminatory. Meanwhile, "David Edelstein racism" returns a nontrivial 25,000+ results, meaning the Southern Poverty Law Center might want to put the faux-tolerant movie reviewer on a watchlist. Google, as we know, never lies.
Update: "Ezra Klein racism" returns a robust 120,000 results, so it looks like I'm not nearly so liberal and enlightened as I thought. Nuts.
