Via DC trade rag The Hill, we learn that Sen. John Warner (R-VA) will end his bid to become the ranking minority member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. This leaves Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) to remain as the ranking member. You may remember Inhofe from such numbers as "Outraged by the outrage", "We are all skeptics now", and "It kind of reminds . . . I could use the Third Reich, the big lie". Check out his entire compilation on Think Progress!
Presented with the opportunity to remove this character from a position of power when it comes to Republican environmental policy, the GOP chose not to do so. So the next time a conservative pundit comes begging for carbon taxes, tell them to get rid of Inhofe before you'll start the conversation.
