In a great gotcha moment, Cato's Chris Edwards snagged some of the lefty Economic Policy Institute's IRS forms and noticed that the top brass average out at $144,000 a year, while none of the other employees break $50,000. Ouch! For a think tank so focused on inequality, that's embarrassing stuff. Only problem is that Max Sawicky, an actual EPI employee, says it's "wildly inaccurate." Someone's lying, and the other is owed a serious apology. Given the caliber of talent at EPI, and the fact that I know some of them to own houses, I think they're safe. Edwards has some explaining to do.
