Via Kay Steiger comes news of an awesome sounding new book, Green With Envy, that apparently makes the case against buying a home, pointing out the constant improvements and repairs, the forced geographical stability, the possibility of becoming house poor, and the weight of a mortgage around your neck. Sadly, looking at the book's Amazon page, it really doesn't appear to be about these things, but someone should totally write a book like that.
