Doesn't seem to be any worse for your body than sugar, at least according to a slew of new research. As I've argued before, though, the problem with HFCS isn't that it's worse for you than another substance that's not very good for you. It's that it's heavily subsidized, and thus played a role in making nutritionally empty foods cheaper and more ubiquitous. People aren't getting fat because they're eating a lot of high fructose corn syrup. They're getting fat because they're eating a lot of foods of the type that contain high fructose corn syrup.
