Affordable housing is one of those wonky issues that I don't have the time to follow as closely as I'd like to, but is still extremely important and worth keeping up on. In that vein, Tim Fernholz has a great piece today surveying possible directions for affordable housing advocates, while Dana has a useful interview about Housing First, which is arguably the Bush administration's sole progressive success. (And if you want even more on Housing First, Malcolm Gladwell had a good article on the theory behind the initiative a few years ago.)
