David Brooks loved last night's debate, and Chris Hayes has some ideas about how to further that sort of coverage, if he's interested. For the rest of us, TPM's summary video, "Wall to Wall Ugly," gets it pretty right. When David Brooks says "issues like Jeremiah Wright, flag lapels and the Tuzla airport will be important in the fall," he doesn't mean they are important issues, he means that he, and others in the media, will try to make them seem like important issues. These two things are, of course, not the same.
