Iowa Republican Jim Leach is on the stage endorsing Obama. Unlike Zell Miller, he's widely understood to be a smart guy who was one of the leading examples of "what's right with Washington" for years. Unlike Zell Miller, he's not spitting fire or looking like he's going to bite anyone's head off and so his speech won't be a big story. "America needs new ideas, new energy, and a new generation of leadership. Hence I stand before you, proud of my party's legacy and contribution to our country, but proud to stand as a citizen and nominate a transcendent candidate who will be a truly transformative president." I mean, snooze, right!? Who cares!?
