Don't know if folks caught the question asking what the candidates' greatest weaknesses are. Obama loses pieces of paper. Clinton gets impatient. And Edwards? Well, he feels the pain of other too much. He's too empathic. Too concerned about his fellow man. It's tough! Meanwhile, Barack Obama's right to say that Hillary Clinton is using terrorism to inspire fear and divide the country when she says darkly warns that al-Qaeda will test the next president. It's not that it's necessarily unfair for her to argue that she'd be better at handling a terrorist attack, though she certainly didn't cover herself in glory in the aftermath of 9/11, when she abetted Bush in sweeping the country into a fear-driven imperialism. But I think Obama, who's showing that he's thought about how to respond to such an attack in a way that helps America keep its head and humanity, is actually demonstrating more relevant talents. I'd really prefer to not see the country descend into anxiety and paranoia again, and Hillary needs to argue against such dangers now, not just assume she can sidestep them in a chaotic later.
