By Neil the Ethical Werewolf I was very happy to see Chris Bowers' effort to get Congressional Democrats in easy races to donate their spare cash so that we can retake the House. Loyal progressives Barney Frank and John Lewis have already done their part. Feel free to look at Bowers' list and call your own representative if he or she is on there. People are also pushing leading 2008 contenders with big war chests to make contributions of their own -- Evan Bayh in particular. I'd be remiss in my role as a crazy Edwards supporter if I didn't point out that John Edwards has been an exemplary citizen in this regard. Rather than raising money for himself, he's been headlining fundraisers for other candidates and using his star power to get people to donate directly to them. Back in June, his events had already raised more than $6 million for Democrats at all levels of government.
