JURISDICTION.

Just got an invitation to a Families USA conference call with Pollack and a Baucus staffer with this passage:

Any major health care legislation is certain to go through the Senate Finance Committee and with this thoughtful and comprehensive white paper, Chairman Baucus is leading the way in promoting meaningful health care reform.

The folks at Families are tight with the Kennedy team -- indeed, it was at a Families USA conference that Kennedy staff director took a few shots at Baucus's strategy -- but it seems they're on Baucus's side on the crucial question of jurisdiction: Health reform will go through the Finance Committee.
