Consider how appropriate it is to our present situation, I've been trying to find the original source for Henry Kissinger's famous quip, "I never leak. I declassify." But the internets are surprisingly unhelpful. Does anyone know where it came from? Google points me to several posts by Mark Kleiman, but I still can't find the original speech or interview where he said those words. Is the story apocryphal? Or is it simply one of those statements that was never made for attribution, like Pat Moynihan's "it takes thirty years to implement an idea in Washington"?
