It's the morning that the President releases the overview document detailing his first budget. It announces a $634 billion health care reserve fund, as well as a cap and trade carbon program and a historic commitment to education funding. You're one of the few members of the press corps in a room with Robert Gibbs, the White House's press secretary and a known confidante of Barack Obama's. You have the first question. What do you ask?Decided yet?Good. Bet it wasn't this:
Q: A couple budget questions. I was interested in the language the President used this morning when he talked about the budget. He said, "There are times when you can afford to redecorate your house, and there are times when you need to focus on rebuilding its foundation." Quickly, is there any -- should there be any pause taken in those words? The Obamas have hired a decorator to redecorate the White House. Do you think that's appropriate?Whatever would we do without the Fourth Estate?
