Remember Stephen Hayes, the guy who thought we had found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and we had found operational links between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda, but the Bush administration refused to tell you about it? He's got a new job now:
Frequent CNN guest, Stephen F. Hayes, has made it official by signing on with the network as a political contributor. Currently a senior writer at The Weekly Standard, Hayes will appear on the full line-up of CNN programming as part of the network's ideologically diverse group of analysts and contributors.Hayes has a long history of reporting on the political world. In addition to his work with The Weekly Standard, Hayes' writings have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Review, Reason and many other publications. Most recently, Hayes wrote Cheney: The Untold Story of America's Most Powerful and Controversial Vice President, a biography of Vice President Dick Cheney.CNN is selling their newest contributor short: He's also author of The Connection: How al Qaeda's Collaboration with Saddam Hussein Has Endangered America , which Publisher's Weekly said suffered from a "frustrating absence of source notes and no knowledge of what cooperative efforts ever came of these contacts." Happily, no one expects source notes or accuracy on cable television.
