It's strange that the press continues to treat John McCain's budget-busting economic plan and deficit hawk rhetoric as some sort of puzzling contradiction rather than a simple lie. And then they're so understanding and confused and quietly hurt when he repeats it to their face! At times, it seems like McCain is the press's abusive boyfriend. Soon enough, we'll reenter the apology phase, cause he never really meant to hurt us, and things at work were just so hard, and it'll never happen again, really...
