- Senate races in Alaska, Oregon, Minnesota and Georgia remain unresolved, with a recount likely in MN, and a runoff election possible in GA.
- Obama's transition team was announced today, and Rahm Emanuel definitely will (or will not) be Obama's chief of staff. Other names/positions floating around: RFK Jr. for EPA head, Colin Powell for Secretary of Defense or Education, Dick Lugar rules out any role in the administration, Chuck Hagel is on the fence, John Kerry really wants to be Sec. of State, Caroline Kennedy possible ambassador to the United Nations and Larry Summers or Timothy Geithner for treasury.
- It turns out McCain's final push for Pennsylvania may have been in part the product of a well-orchestrated head fake by the Obama campaign, which deliberately leaked information designed to make the state appear more competitive than it actually was.
