- The DNC and The Politico are debating whether DNC rules allow DNC members from Florida and Michigan to vote on whether Florida and Michigan should be seated at the convention. The Politico says not at all while the DNC says that while state representatives can't vote on their own cases they can vote on the case of any other state including Florida (if they're from Michigan) or Michigan (if they're from Florida). Marc Ambinder explains and weighs in with his own opinion.
- Remember McCain's speech about how much he hates war? Well, forget that. Spackerman has more.
- Gov. Jon Corzine is the latest Clinton superdelegate to express reservations about supporting her if she doesn't have a popular vote lead by June 4th. I think most people forget that just because you want someone to win doesn't mean you're willing to support them at all costs.
- The New York Post reports that Clinton said Obama can't win. A Clinton supporter claims what really happened was that Richardson said Obama can't win. I can't decide which source I trust less.
- Former Republican Congressman Bob Barr will run for president as an independent in the general election. He has a lot of Ron Paul's positions, though I'm not sure if that extends to the downright wacky pro-gold-standard ones. In any event, if Barr manages to pick up even half of Paul's supporters he could be a big problem for McCain, though many of those voters might have switched over to a Democrat or not voted if Barr hadn't run.
- Jimmy Carter almost-but-not-quite endorses Obama while talking to Nigerian reporters. It's a globalized world.
- John Edwards says he wouldn't accept a VP nomination from either candidate.
- Part of Twisted Sister makes a music video for Obama. It sounds stupid the first time you hear it, but it grows on you. Like a cancer. Bascially it's awesome (err ... not that cancer's awesome or anything).
