Zach Wahls is a high-scoring University of Iowa student and Eagle scout who just happens to have been raised by a lesbian couple. He spoke out against an Iowa House of Representative resolution that would end civil unions on Tuesday, and ended on this note, "Because the sexual orientation of my parents has had zero effect on the content of my character." I'd argue that it might have made him the kind of person who would give such awesome testimony, but that's just me.
