On Sunday's "Face the Nation," the Coast Guard commander overseeing the federal government's response to the BP oil leak, Adm. Thad Allen, said that the spill would not be fully contained until completion of the relief wells in August and that cleanup could last well into the fall. Allen served as Coast Guard commandant from 2006 to 2010, taking a cruise down the Potomac on the CGC Barque Eagle two days after being sworn into that role.
