Far be it for me to question the wisdom of the polls, but I just don't buy that John Edwards provides a 10%-18% boost to the ticket if he's named vice-president. I like Edwards quite a bit, but those polls are aggressively overstating his plausible impact. He's a known and well-liked quantity, but he's being matched up against Sebelius, Hagel, and Rendell, who are largely unknown quantities (save for Rendell in PA). In other words, I'd take all this with a great shaker of salt.
