While he's managed to screw up many aspects of his campaign, John McCain's logo has actually been fairly popular. It had the lone military star, a relatively classy look, and used the same font as the Vietnam War Memorial. So it comes as something of a surprise that he's decided to completely change it and adopt a new, deeply dull and powerfully ugly design.
