When you are losing by ten or eleven points and running the two-minute offense, the first priority must be to maintain possession of the football. If the opposition takes possession, the game ends. Therefore, should your offense stall within field goal range, it is best to kick the field goal and then try the onside kick, rather than throw it away on fourth-and-9 at your opponent's 14 yard line. Management notes that this is not the first time this situation has arisen, and yet you have yet to determine that this is the optimal course of action. Please take this under advisement.
