I haven't written that much on labor unions before, but the circumstances in Wisconsin, combined with David Brooks' sneering op-ed attacking public workers' right to unionize and Kevin Drum's piece on the broadly shared net benefits the labor movement has secured for the country inspired this post over at Greg's place. For me its mostly a rights issue -- as frustrated as I might be with the negative policy influences of say, corrections officers' unions, I don't think their collective-bargaining rights should be abolished.
