Barack Obama won the endorsement of MoveOn today, putting the support of one of the largest grassroots membership organizations in the country behind him heading into Tuesday's contest. The endorsement comes as the result of an online poll, which he won with 70.4 of the vote to Clinton's 29.6 percent. As Ari Melber points out over on The Nation blog, the big boon here is not so much the endorsement, but the leg work that comes with it. MoveOn made 7 million get-out-the-vote calls for the 2006 mid-term elections, and they've said they'll "immediately" begin tapping into their resources to help his campaign.
