In contrast to Mark Warner, Bob Casey Jr. and Ted Strickland happily named names. Indeed, Casey's line that "Voting with Bush 90% of the time doesn't make you a maverick, it makes you a sidekick," was pretty good. Deval Patrick, for his part, is all about the hope. The real question tonight is what Clinton does. If she goes after McCain, that will lead every network, and could prove a defining moment in the election. After spending his last few days yoking himself to her, McCain can't afford to have Clinton turn on him. Howard Fineman, however, was just on the teevee saying she'll talk about the importance of her campaign and her love for the party, which would amount to a nice way to help McCain win the election. I'm betting Clinton comes out swinging, but we'll see.
