I'm all about loving America -- and I'm even more all about ostentatious displays of how much I love America, and how people who disagree with me on matters of policy hate America -- but I'm baffled by the sort of blind worship that refuses to admit that the original Constitution, with its explicit rejection of full personhood for African-Americans, was a fundamentally flawed document.
