The big concern coming out of the primaries was that Obama wouldn't be able to compete in crucial swing states like Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. A new Quinnipiac poll, however, shows him up in all of those states. He's leading in Florida by 4 percent, Ohio by 6 percent, and Pennsylvania by a surprising 12 percent. Quinnipiac has a pretty good track record, so though those results are surprising, I wouldn't discount them. Indeed, they fit the trends for both Pennsylvania and Ohio. Florida's been looking worse, but this looks to be the first new poll in about a month, and a lot has happened in the last month.
