Though all of Katherine Marsh's article arguing that Sarah Palin is not, in fact, the ideal everywoman is quite smart, one statistic jumped out at me: Due to women being paid less than men for equal work, "on average, the families of working women lose nearly $10, 000 a year because of the earnings gap." That amount amount of money could seriously assist the people who earn it -- if only they weren't discriminated against. This is, of course, a problem John McCain doesn't want to correct.
