The Clinton campaign recently created HillaryHUB, a division of their website that portends to be "The Straight Scoop on Election '08." This is where they offer rebuttals to her opponents' allegations, and sift everything through their campaign's "truth" filters of course, and they've recently begun sending all the dispatches to reporters. In November, the Obama campaign launched their own "Fact Check" site to do much of the same, but then yesterday they unveiled a separate "Hillary Attacks" page. The three pages have ostensibly become a he said/she said on all the issues the two candidates have differed on of late. But the "Hillary Attacks" page is an interesting new dynamic, especially as the Clinton campaign seems to be upping the offensive, and going into scramble mode, as Ezra noted yesterday. For months, Clinton didn't really bother attacking Obama, and his campaign would never have had fodder for this type of page. Now it seems to be a central part of her pre-primary strategy.
