This week, Monica Potts joins us as our new associate editor. Previously, she was a reporter at the StamfordAdvocate, where she covered courts and crime. Her work there also appeared in the Connecticut Post. Before that, she worked as a news assistant at the New York Times and wrote for the Obituary and Metro sections. Some of you all may know her by her postbourgie handle quadmoniker. Yes, after nabbing Shani O. Hilton and JamelleBouie as guest bloggers, we're stealing Monica, too.
At the Prospect, Monica will be writing about domestic public policy, poverty, and gender. And in her spare time, she reads nonfiction, hikes, and combs the Netflix Watch Instantly queue for Jane Austen adaptations.
We're very excited to have her join the TAP family, so please join usin welcoming her!--The Editors
