According to the latest Gallup [poll](http://www.gallup.com/poll/147524/Americans-Oppose-Raising-Debt-Ceiling.aspx), Americans aren't so hot on lifting the debt ceiling:

Democratic and Republican elites disagree, and as such, the public believes that there must be something to disagree about.
