I really wonder how American political punditry would change if, after every election, a nonpartisan board of judges picked through the final three weeks of campaign punditry and suspended the five analysts whose comments were the most misleading. For instance, folks who spent yesterday explaining that Obama's comments on coal were a "gamechanger." How would that change the incentive structure?
