Jim Capozzola, founder of Rittenhouse Review, died this evening. Jim was one of the first big political bloggers, with an ear for satire and an eye towards helping those less established than himself. My dealings with him were few, but he was unfailingly generous and kind. I hadn't know he was sick.
Susie Madrak has a touching remembrance up, which includes an excerpt of one of Jim's greatest posts -- Al Gore and the Alpha Girls. Read it. Not because he died, but because it is good, and important. As was its author. Both deserve more than to be remembered. They deserve to be read.
