One alternative explanation for the Politico article is that the Israel Lobby isn't really pulling the strings, but being conveniently used by the media to preemptively discredit Zbigniew Brzezinski and drive him from the race. His name is really much too hard to spell or say with any regularity, and it was sort of us or him. --Ezra Klein
