A few weeks ago, the McCain campaign was spending its days blasting Barack Obama's for being untraveled, inexperienced on the world stage, unknown among foreign leaders. So Obama took some trips, got a veritable endorsement from Nikolas Sarkozy, attracted an audience of 200,000 Berliners outside the Brandenburg Gate, and amassed enough presidential-looking photos that Frank Rich simply declared him acting president. In other words: The attack boomeranged. So the McCain campaign went back to the drawing board and came up with an ad about how Obama canceled a visit with the troops because the Pentagon wouldn't allow cameras into the room. That turned out to have been a lie, and the networks have been saying so repeatedly. Yipes. Meanwhile, here comes the boomerang:
