Sarah Palin went on "Dancing with the Stars" last night, and there was some booing. The booing occurred right before she hit the screen, so there's some confusion over whether she was the target, or the audience was upset over Jennifer Grey's scores. (Side note: Glad Grey is on the show, it seems only fitting.)
Whether they were booing her or not (and they wouldn't be the first crowd to have done so), it's worth remembering how unpopular she actually is. Just 21 percent of voters have a favorable view of her, and 46 percent view her unfavorably. Among undecided voters, it's even worse: 65 percent have an unfavorable opinion of her. So while she's a great Tea Party mascot who turns out the wackadoo vote in close Republican primaries in some states, she's still not a serious politician progressives need to fear. At least, not yet.
