Yesterday, I argued that Obama's attacks on the generic conservative health care plan released by John McCain had basically turned that proposal toxic, and you wouldn't seen conservatives using it anymore. Some evidence for this view comes today from Minnesota, where Al Franken has taken up the assault and Norm Cleman now refuses to say whether he supports John McCain's health care plan. Coleman, interestingly, is one of the Republican sponsors of the Wyden-Bennett legislation.
