There were some violent protests today, including one in which bricks were thrown and the windows of a Macy*s department story were smashed. But the pre-planned lefty protest, which took place directly outside of the Xcel Center, was peaceful, and featured lots of signs for Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, as well as quite a few Obama shirts.
