And teaches taxes, too! Justin Fox has got it all. And this week, he's unloading on Ari Fleischer. But fun as it is to watch Fleischer's third-grade misunderstandings of the tax code get torn apart*, I'm confused as to why he wrote the op-ed in the first place. As Fox says, Fleischer isn't a tax expert. He's not an economist. He's not running for anything (so far as we know). He's not heavily associated with any particular candidate. So what compelled him to slam out a hacktacular op-ed on government revenues? Habit? And why did the Wall Street Journal publish the piece? After all, they can get much better, more credible, more convincing hacks to write misleading op-eds on taxes.
*Okay, willfully deceiving by omitting critical facts doesn't suggest misunderstandings, per se, but I'm a generous guy.
