A new Ipsos/McClatchy poll shows Obama ahead of McCain, 50% to 42%, and holding an eight-point margin on the issue of taxes. Turns out the broader public isn't all that opposed to spreading the wealth after all. On the other hand, subgroups are really what matters here, and sadly, the poll does not include crosstabs differentiating "real Americans" from "socialists."
