Global spam dropped by about 66 percent on Tuesday night when two internet providers disconnected a single web hosting firm that was identified as the gateway for most of the world's junk mail. Presumably, they'll be back up in a couple of days, but still, pretty remarkable. In other Spam news, Ben Adler notes that sales of the stuff have shot up as the economy has fallen down, and thinks that's a shame. This would be a good time for folks to move to more environmentally friendly proteins, like beans, rather than moving to grosser, cheaper, meats, like Spam.
