NPR's crack health report Julie Rovner sends this tidbit from one of the health care summit breakout sessions:
So early on in the discussion at the breakout session moderated by Nancy-Ann DeParle and Diana Farrel, Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, the ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, noted that he just twittered that the session was being streamed live on the White House website. "That's funny, I didn't get your tweet," said Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., who was sitting next to Barton. "That's because you're not my friend," shot back Barton, who quickly corrected himself and pointed out that Waxman actually IS his friend, just not his Twitter friend. Waxman said later he recently got on Facebook, but only for his children and grandchildren. But he said he's not ready to try Twitter -- yet.
