Dude is not messing around this week. Monday it was Patriotism. Tuesday, Faith in Public Life. And tomorrow, according to an email from press secretary Bill Burton, the candidate will be speaking in Colorado Springs on "a comprehensive national service agenda." While John McCain has signaled support for national service programs in the past, he hasn't laid out a specific platform on the topic as part of his presidential race. Here is a good Politico piece on the emerging bipartisan consensus around funding national service opportunities -- it looks like Obama will be first out of the gate to take advantage of it. --Dana Goldstein
