The top two films on the National Review's "Best Conservative Movies" list are The Lives of Others and The Incredibles, which are arguably also my top two films, suggesting that exercises of this sort might not be worth that much. Or possibly that distaste for Stasi-run East Germany might now be bipartisan. I did, however, enjoy their awe that Forrest Gump "won an Oscar for best picture — beating Pulp Fiction, a movie that’s far more expressive of Hollywood’s worldview." Weird that Hollywood chose the movie that Hollywood didn't like, isn't it? Weird -- unless you're a conservative!
